The government of Pakistan and Japan External Trade Organization wanted to establish a Textile City in the Area of Port Qasim (the second largest port of Pakistan) and wanted to study the availability of water, housing and road access to the port area.
The project covered field survey, structured in-depth interviews and information analysis to document constraints to full realization of the industrial potential of the Port Qasim Area and develop a methodology for addressing the identified issues in terms of water availability, workers housing and transportation link to the port area.
