Project Description

Pakistan's Western border including FATA has been subjected to conflict and mass displacement in recent years. UNWFP is one of the largest humanitarian agencies providing relief food assistance to people in the worst affected areas. To ensure household food security and social stability and protracted relief, UNWFP initiated a long-term operational programme namely "Protracted Relief and Recovery Operations (PRRO)". UNWFP selected APEX Consulting to provide field monitors in FATA working under the provisional office of UNWFP located at Peshawar.

Services provided by APEX

APEX provided 23 field monitors (both males and females), 03 reporting officers, 02 database assistants, and 01 project coordinator in the 06 agencies of FATA. All staff participated in training arranged by APEX and field staff placed in an agreed location immediately upon attending the training workshop. The consulting firm's responsibility including mobilization of field monitoring teams and progress reports preparing output tracker for analysis, field monitoring visits for ongoing monitoring and validation, a collection of data from beneficiaries and CP staff about food distribution and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to UNWFP. APEX reviewed strategy documents along with roles and responsibilities and carried out the responsibilities as outlined in the documents together as well as discussed in the orientation workshop for the field staff.
