Project Description

UNICEF Pakistan is actively involved in the promotion of the well-being of target children and women in thematic program areas that are Communication Network in Polio across KP and FATA. To assist the field offices in COMNet monitoring, ensure better oversight and wider field coverage, identifying gaps, and challenges in the work of COMNet and reporting to the field offices on regular basis, UNICEF selected APEX Consulting Pakistan (APEX) as a partner to provide field monitors/reporters working under provisional offices of UNICEF.

Services provided by APEX

The services provided by the firms included development and refinement of instruments to monitor the UNICEF's implementing partner activities in KPK and 06 agencies of FATA region. Our firm mobilized and trained 08 monitoring teams consisted of 13 monitors with experience in program monitoring, reporting, community development, and social research. Field teams used monitoring guidelines and observations to collect information about the Polio program. Monthly monitoring reports were submitted presenting possibilities, gaps, and success stories. Daily monitoring updates were also reported to provisional hubs/field offices of UNICEF. APEX also designed a web-based M&E system to enables field staff to upload monitoring reports on daily basis and results can be viewed globally through internet access.
