European Union provided funding for the DIPECHO Project to the Islamic Relief (IR) to prepare communities in Baluchistan and AJK for mitigating the risk of disasters. The project involved the building of retaining walls, water flow channels, planting of saplings, training of emergency management staff, and awareness-raising of the community.
The objective of the third-party assessment of the overall performance of the DIPECHO IR Project was to measure the efficiency, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of the project. For the evaluation, the consultants used the primarily qualitative methods using semi-structured interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) backed by the relevant project documents review. The information gathered was compiled, analyzed, and judged. Recommendations were drawn through qualitative methods.
