ssaUNICEF Pakistan is actively involved in the promotion of the well-being of the children and women in thematic program areas, that is, Health, Nutrition, Education, Child Protection, and WASH intervention across Punjab. To assist field offices in regular monitoring, ensure better oversight and wider field coverage, identifying gaps, issues, and difficulties faced by women and children, and reporting to the field offices on regular basis. UNICEF selected APEX Consulting Pakistan (ACP) as a partner to provide field monitor/reporters working under the provisional offices of UNICEF.
The services provided by the firm included development and refinement of instruments to monitor the UNICEF's implementing partners activities in Punjab. APEX mobilized and trained 04 monitoring teams consisted of 08 monitors with experience in program monitoring, reporting, community development, and social research. Field teams used monitoring guidelines and observations to collect information about WASH, Education, and Child Protection. Monthly monitoring reports were submitted presenting possibilities, gaps, and success stories. Daily monitoring updates were also reported to provisional hubs/field offices of UNICEF. APEX also designed a web-based M&E reporting system to enables, field staff, to upload monitoring results on a daily basis and results can be viewed globally through internet access.
