Muhammad Irfan KhanThe PPTA financed the design of the Punjab Cities Improvement Investment Program and Capacity Development of its timely launch and sound implementation. The consortium prepared a program comprising of physical and non-physical investments for financing under ADB's Multitranche Financing Facility (MFF). The consortium worked with the Executing Agency (EA) of the PPTA, the Punjab Planning and Development Department (P&DD), and the implementing Agency (IA), the Punjab Urban Unit.
The firm provided Environmental Specialist, Land Acquisition, Resettlement Specialist, and Legal Specialist. The Environmental Specialist of the firm conducted Environmental Impact Assessments and ensured compliance with the environmental protection laws. Land Acquisition Specialist provided advice on the impact of the land acquisition process and resettlement on the project implementation and conducted negotiations with people affected by land acquisition and ensured compliance with ADB social safeguard guidelines. Legal Specialists provided advice on corporate law and investments to the executing agency, investors, government-related entities and public-private partnerships, and other stakeholders. In addition, he prepared legal agreements in establishing companies and draft service contracts.
