Project Description

Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF). the largest organization established by the Government of Pakistan to alleviate poverty in the country. is the biggest provider of funds and technical assistance to the private sector development organizations all over Pakistan. During the financial year 2009-10, the PPAF disbursed Rs. 16.26 Billion through 39th and 40th batch pending approvals. The amount was disbursed to partner organizations for Social Mobilization, Capacity Building, Water and Infrastructure, Health and Education, Human and Institutional Development, and Reconstruction and Rehabilitation.

Services provided by APEX

The services provided by the firm included qualitative and quantitative information to monitor project direction. About 1000 household beneficiary questionnaires were completed, 40 FGD's were conducted and 40 checklists/profiles of villages were conducted. The assignment covered 06 districts (Hairpur, Swabi, Ghotki, Kasur, Multan, and Muzaffargarh) in four provinces. APEX reviewed project documents, designed research instruments, mobilized and trained enumerators and supervisors.
