Project Description

UNICEF Pakistan started emergency relief response in thematic program areas, that is, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health, Nutrition, Education, and Child Protection across the country. To assist the field offices in regular monitoring, the emergency response operations, identifying gaps, issues, and difficulties faced by women and children and reporting to the field offices on regular basis, UNICEF selected APEX Consulting Pakistan (ACP) as a partner to provide field monitors/reporters working under provincial offices of UNICEF.

Services provided by APEX

The services provided by the firm included development and refinement of instruments to monitor UNICEF's implementing partner activities in six agencies of the FATA region. Our firm trained and mobilized 05 monitoring teams consisted of five monitors and two civil engineers with experience in program monitoring, reporting, community development, social research, and civil development work. Field teams used monitoring guidelines and observations to collect information about Health, Water and Sanitation, Education, and Child Protection. Bi-weekly monitoring reports were submitted presenting possibilities, gaps, and success stories. Daily monitoring updates were also reported to provincial hubs/field offices of UNICEF.
