ssaThe project MCHIP FATA-KP Health Program will support the Department of Health (DOH) in KP and the directorate of Health in FATA to achieve the objectives of the DOH strategy and the FATA Sustainable Development Plan, as well as the achievement of the USAID/Pakistan's Maternal and Child Health Initiative goals and objectives and it is expected to deliver the following results:
The main objective of the study is to conduct a baseline survey of MNCH and HTSP services in the FATA and Malakand division. This baseline survey carried out in each of the agency/districts (i.e. South Waziristan, Mohmand, Bajour, Chitral, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Swat, Buner, Shangla, and Malakand) targeted by this project to establish a baseline of knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to MNCH and HTSP as well as to access to and use of key MNCH and HTSP health services across the targeted areas. APEX delivered the quantitative questionnaire such as households (mothers), health facilities, health facilities staff, and qualitative questionnaires for government departments. informal leaders etc. A total of 1,120 households were surveyed under the study along with 08 FGDs and 30 KIIs in 10 districts.
