ssaThe government of Japan through Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provided assistance to Pakistan Customs for the development of an automated customs clearance system. Later assistance will be provided for automated valuation and post-clearance audit system.
APEX team studied the electronic system that has been developed with the assistance of JICA and World Bank, received feedback from the users of the system through questionnaire and personal interviews, asked the opinions of the customs officials involved in the use of the systems and presented their assessment of the new customs clearance systems and recommendations for future.
