Short summary of Project
UNICEF Pakistan through its partners launched Early Recovery Scaling up of Rural Sanitation Programme to mitigate the grave needs of the people related to sanitation in the flood affected districts of Pakistan. UNICEF engaged WaterAid Pakistan for Third Party Monitoring, Evaluation and Knowledge Management of the Programme. The Consulting Firm’s responsibility included mobilization of field monitoring teams, collection of IP’s work plan and progress reports to prepare output tracker for analysis, field monitoring visits for ongoing monitoring and validation, collection of data from training (ToT, PATS/CALTS) participants about training materials, trainer’s knowledge and the pace of learning, health surveillance data collection and validation of ODF village certification. Consulting Firm reviewed strategy document along with roles and responsibilities and carried out the responsibilities as outlined in the documents together as well as discussed in the orientation workshop for the field staff. Focus Areas of the Project was Water and sanitation. 21 flood affected districts in GB, KPK and Sindh were covered. Level of Effort was put by 25 male and female field monitors teams, 3 field coordinators and report writers and 1 assignment coordinator. Monthly reports for each province was done.
