Socioeconomic Baseline Survey in Sindh for NRSP

With European Union financial support, the provincial government launched the Sindh Union Council and Community Economic Strengthening Support (SUCCESS) Programme in eight poor rural districts in Sindh in 2015. The SUCCESS Programme was implemented by the Rural Support Programme Network (RSPN) and three of its RSPs from Sindh - National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP) and Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO). NRSP hired services of APEX to conduct a socioeconomic baseline survey in its respective four districts of SUCCESS Programme. For this survey, data on socioeconomic profiling was collected through Computer Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI). Key indicators of data collection were household demographics, health, farm and non-farm income, livestock, savings, loans, assets, nutrition, vaccination and access and use of public services.
