Project Description

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is strengthening people's resilience capacities, especially in the field of water, sanitation, and hygiene, as well as food security and livelihoods. SI has included a Community-Based Organization Strategy to ensure a sustainable approach in providing 33 community water networks (rehabilitation/construction of water supply scheme) and the installation of localized treatment and disposal infrastructures such as tanks feeding to a shallow disposal trench, Wetlands or Sanitation System at the household level 180 in total.

Services provided by APEX

APEX provides the services and includes detail technical assessment of the WASH facilities constructed as part of this project with the aim of identifying non-functional facilities, measuring and quantifying rehabilitation needs, preparing technical drawing of designs for rehabilitation work, preparing the bill of quantities for rehabilitation works, proposing alternative solutions with all the designs, specifications, and drawings, BOQs (if the constructed facilities are found to be non-feasible), preparing a necessary budget for rehabilitation work and the alternative solutions, recommending implementation strategy, and preparing work plan.

APEX Consulting conducted an assessment in districts Sehwan and Shahdadkot and performed these activities preparation of checklist, training of surveyors, investigation of water supply schemes, GPS reading, pictures, development of AutoCAD designs, BOQs and report development.
